Wedding Plans

I cannot believe that the big day is less than 4 months away, it’s coming up so fast! With the desicion to have a small and intimate wedding we chose not to have a wedding planner and to tackle all the planning ourselves (well…myself). Planning is my thing, I live to plan, so you could say I’m having a blast doing it. I wanted to share a few small details and inspiration for the big day with you guys. I have sourced most of the pictures from Pinterest and have used them again and again when discussing vision with vendors. I hope you enjoy!

Colour Palette

With the wedding being In fall I wanted to keep the colours very natural and romantic with a bit of depth. I wanted to stay away for the traditional orange, red and yellow that you see for a lot of fall weddings, in my opinion I find that palette to be a bit…tacky, there I said it! The colours I chose are Cream, Eucalyptus Green, Maroon and Blush.

Flower Inspo

I love bouquets that are very free, natural and easy going, filled with lots of greenery. My favourite flowers are peonies, roses and eucalyptus. I would like to draw inspiration from these flowers, however they do not necessarily need to make an appearance in my bouquet, as long as they are beautiful and romantic I am happy.

All I can say is that I completely fell in love with the “Naked Cake” style. I have worked with a baker to design the perfect cake inside and out and cannot wait to see it….and eat it, mmmmm.

Decor Inspo

When I started planning I was kinda like “eh” about decor, I didn’t find it to be too important, maybe a few candles here and there. As time went on and I looked at more wedding articles I became more attracted to a few decor pieces. Again, I wanted to keep it very natural a, romantic and easy going.
