This past Sunday I was thrown the most lovely bridal shower ever! The afternoon featured a mimosa bar with freshly squeezed lavender lemonade (made by my mum). There was a simple yet delicious cheese spread put out and let’s be real, you can never go wrong with a cheese spread. We then finished the food parade off with the most delicious cake from a small bakery in East Vancouver.
One of the best parts of the shower was that there were no cheesy games, which if there was, would make me feel completely uncomfortable and is what would put me off of the whole Bridal Shower shindig. All in all it was an amazing afternoon and I am so grateful to my friends, family and most of all my mom for making the day so special.
Can we talk about presents now? On the day of the wedding I will be doing my own hair and makeup for two very good reasons, one is cost and two…I don’t trust anyone else to touch my hair or makeup. The idea of the gift theme was that I would be showered by products I will use on the day of the wedding to complete my glam look; a perfect plan for the budget bride. I couldn’t have been more blown away by the generosity of my friends and family, I feel insanely spoiled and very lucky.
Here are some photos from the amazing afternoon!
