Happy 2017! It feels SO crazy typing that out…
So… a new year, you know what that means… new years resolutions have begun! I’ve never been the type of person who gets too crazy with new years resolutions, I’m not that “NEW YEAR, NEW ME” type of person. I like me, I don’t want to change me, but I’m all for improving my behaviors and who I already am.
I think its good to have goals – goals that are easily obtained and goals that reach for the moon. It’s having these goals that keep life interesting and keep you moving forward. I like to think I set goals and change daily, so a small factor like a change in date shouldn’t make much of a difference however, I can see how a new year feels like a clean slate.
I didn’t want to get to crazy with my personal goals, I wanted goals that I can follow and obtain easily this year. Like I said, I don’t want to change who I am, just improve on a few existing things. Here are the goals I have set for 2017…
one // Eat my vegetables…pass me the spinach! Not the kale though, that can stay over there.
two // Drink more water…and a bit less coffee (just a bit)
three // Say yes to new adventures and have fun!
four // Read more, I own books, why haven’t I read them yet?
five // Try new forms of exercise, perhaps yoga?
six // Live a more minimalistic lifestyle
2016 was a great year! I don’t know how I will top it in 2017, but the most important thing to remember is that we all go into this new year with an open mind.
