Kurdistan Travel Diary

We traveled to Kurdistan to visit family and we stayed in the city of Duhok. It was nice to meet a lot of Alan’s family and spend quality time with his parents. I can’t say it was a very nice city, in fact I didn’t really like it. Dohuk did have one good quality; the city is surrounded by beautiful, steep, rocky mountains where we spent a lot of our afternoons exploring. Definitely the highlight of our stay in Kurdistan.

This isn’t really a ‘travel guide’ and I don’t have any tips for you because I wouldn’t say Kurdistan is a ‘vacation destination’. I’m going to assume none of you guys will ever really go for a visit, but then again you never know, it could just be the next hot place to travel. Here are some photos we took from our trip and I hope you enjoy!
