I’ve heard from just about everyone that L.A is a super cool city, but for some reason, I never believed them. It took me having to actually visit the city myself to realize that it is true, L.A is a cool city. We arrived on Monday and made the most cliche west-coast decision by renting a convertible. At first, I hated it, with my hair whipping all over the place and the smoggy air hitting my face, it wasn’t as glamorous as one would think. However, over the course of the trip, I fell in love, the convertible gave us the full California experience.
We visited all the popular spots: Venice beach, Santa Monica pier, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and Griffith Observatory. Beverly Hills was definitely our favourite spot, the charm is unreal and Rodeo Drive was a dream. We also spent one full day in Universal Studios. I’m going, to be honest, the only reason I wanted to go was for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was spectacular, I got emotional more than a few times, even when we were on the ride I was so blown-away I nearly started crying twice. After a few days spent in L.A we felt we could live there, we loved it.
On Thursday we drove from L.A to San Diego, which was a super fun drive. Driving alongside the ocean with the roof down and good music blasting will be a moment I’ll never forget. Our favourite spots in San Diego include La Jolla Cove, Mission Beach, and Torrey Pines State beach. When we vacation we have a bit of a bad habit of shopping and we’ve visited just about every nice mall in the San Diego and L.A area, so if you’d like to know more about the best places to shop, I got you!
On Monday morning we drove back, spent the day in L.A, had In-N-Out one last time and flew home in the evening. We didn’t want to leave, we were even discussing ways we could have Bella shipped to us, but in the end, we had to come home.
